Chapter on Waiting Period – Permissibility for a pregnant widow to remarry after childbirth, even if soon
Hadith Number: 4298
اخبرنا عمران بن موسى بن مجاشع ، قال: حدثنا عثمان بن ابي شيبة ، قال: حدثنا ابو معاوية ، عن هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه، عن عاصم بن عمر ، عن المسور بن مخرمة ، قال: " وضعت سبيعة بعد وفاة زوجها بايام قلائل، فاتت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فاستاذنته في النكاح، فاذن لها" .
Sayyiduna Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyidah Subai’ah (may Allah be pleased with her) gave birth to a child a few days after her husband passed away. She came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to marry, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) granted her permission.
