Chapter on Caliphate and Leadership - On the Prophet's caution with non-Muslims when they entered his gatherings
Hadith Number: 4508
اخبرنا اخبرنا محمد بن يعقوب الخطيب ، حدثنا بشر بن آدم ابن بنت ازهر السمان، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الانصاري ، حدثني ابي ، عن ثمامة ، عن انس بن مالك ، قال: " كان قيس بن سعد من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم منزلة صاحب الشرط من الامير" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Qais bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) had the same relationship with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as a chief of police has with a governor.
