Chapter on Caliphate and Leadership - On the obligation of Hellfire for those who take charge of Muslim affairs and misuse their wealth
Hadith Number: 4512
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن سلم ، قال: حدثنا حرملة بن يحيى ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرني عمرو بن الحارث ، ان يحيى بن سعيد ، حدثه ان عمر بن كثير بن افلح ، حدثه ان عبيد سنوطا ، حدثه انه سمع خولة بنت قيس بن قهد ، تقول: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول:" إن الدنيا حلوة خضرة، فمن اخذها بحقها بورك له فيها، ورب متخوض في مال الله ومال رسوله له النار يوم القيامة" .
Sayyidah Khawlah bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, the world is sweet and green; whoever acquires it along with its due right, there is blessing in it for him. And sometimes a person acquires the wealth of Allah and His Messenger, and for him on the Day of Resurrection it will be Hell."
