Chapter on Caliphate and Leadership - On the recommendation for the leader to be gentle with the women of his people, especially those of weak intellect
Hadith Number: 4527
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، حدثنا إبراهيم بن الحجاج السامي ، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن ثابت ، عن انس بن مالك ، ان امراة كان في عقلها شيء، فقالت: يا رسول الله، إن لي إليك حاجة. فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: يا ام فلان، " خذي اي الطرق شئت، فقومي فيه حتى اقوم معك"، فخلا معها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يناجيها حتى قضت حاجتها من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: There was a woman who was somewhat mentally disturbed. She said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! I have a need from you. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O mother of so-and-so, choose any place you wish, and for as long as you wish, I am with you. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) spoke privately with the woman until she fulfilled her need.
