Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah will not take away knowledge by snatching it away from the people, but He will take away knowledge by taking away the scholars, until when He leaves no scholar remaining, the people will take ignorant ones as their leaders. They will be asked questions and will give verdicts without knowledge; they will go astray and will lead others astray." (The narrator states) One year later, I met Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both), and he narrated this hadith to me again.
