Chapter on Racing - On the permissibility of favoring certain horses in races
Hadith Number: 4688
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، حدثنا عقبة بن خالد ، عن عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " سبق بين الخيل، وفضل القرح في الغاية" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) held a horse race and declared the *qarah* (i.e., a five-year-old horse) as the winner.
