Chapter on Animal Collars and Bells – On the report denying the desirability of keeping animals with bells.
Hadith Number: 4705
اخبرنا الحسين بن عبد الله بن يزيد القطان ، حدثنا نوح بن حبيب ، حدثنا يحيى القطان ، حدثني عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن سالم ، عن ابي الجراح ، عن ام حبيبة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لا تصحب الملائكة رفقة فيها جرس" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyidah Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels do not accompany a caravan in which there is a bell."
