باب الخروج وكيفية الجهاد - ذكر البيان بأن عدة أهل بدر كانت عدة أصحاب طالوت سواء-
Chapter on Setting Out and the Manner of Jihad – Clarifying that the number of people at Badr was the same as the companions of Talut.
Hadith Number: 4796
اخبرنا اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن كثير العبدي ، قال: حدثنا سفيان الثوري ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن البراء، قال: " كنا نتحدث ان اصحاب بدر كانوا ثلاث مائة وبضعة عشر على عدة اصحاب طالوت الذين جازوا معه النهر، وما جاز معه إلا مؤمن" .
Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We used to say that the number of the companions of Badr was a little more than three hundred and ten. This was the same as the number of the companions of Sayyiduna Talut (peace be upon him) who crossed the river with him, and only believing people crossed it with him.
