باب الخروج وكيفية الجهاد - ذكر العدد الذي كان مع المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم الشجرة من أصحابه-
Chapter on Setting Out and the Manner of Jihad – On the number of the Prophet’s companions present at the tree.
Hadith Number: 4803
اخبرنا اخبرنا عمر بن محمد الهمداني، حدثنا بندار، حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن عمرو بن مرة، قال: سمعت عبد الله بن ابي اوفى ، يقول: " كنا يوم الشجرة الفا وثلاث مائة، وكانت اسلم يومئذ ثمن المهاجرين رحمهم الله" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa رضي الله عنه narrates: On the day of the tree (i.e., the day of the Pledge of Ridwan), we were one thousand three hundred individuals. On that day, the people belonging to the tribe of Aslam were equal to one-eighth of the Muhajirun (in number). May Allah have mercy on them.
