باب الغنائم وقسمتها - ذكر البيان بأن ما غنم المسلمون من أموال أهل الحرب يخمس خلا ما يؤكل منها لقوتهم-
Chapter on Spoils of War and Their Distribution – Clarifying that what Muslims capture from enemy property is subject to the fifth, except for what is consumed for sustenance.
Hadith Number: 4825
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا ابن ابي السري ، قال: حدثنا شعيب بن إسحاق ، قال: حدثنا عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر ،" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وجه جيشا فغنموا طعاما وعسلا، فلم يخمسه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) dispatched an expedition. They received grain and honey as spoils of war, but the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not take a fifth (khums) from it.
