باب البيع المنهي عنه - ذكر البيان بأن العرية التي رخص فيها هي بيع بعض الرطب بالثمر-
Chapter: Forbidden sales - Clarification that the permitted "Ariya" sale is exchanging some fresh dates for dried dates
Hadith Number: 5001
اخبرنا عمر بن سعيد بن سنان ، قال: اخبرنا احمد بن ابي بكر ، عن مالك ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، عن زيد بن ثابت ،" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رخص لصاحب العرية ان يبيعها بخرصها من التمر" .
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) granted concession to the owner of ‘Ariyyah; he can sell dates by estimation.

اخبرنا حامد بن محمد بن شعيب ، قال: حدثنا سريج بن يونس ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، عن يحيى بن سعيد ، عن بشير بن يسار ، عن سهل بن ابي حثمة ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " نهى عن بيع الثمر بالثمر، ورخص في العرية ان تباع بخرصها، والعرية ان ياكلها اهلها رطبا" .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade selling fruit in exchange for fruit, except that he permitted ‘Ariyyah, which can be sold by estimation. ‘Ariyyah is: its household eats fresh dates.
