Book of Usurpation
ذكر الأمر برد الظالم عن ظلمه ونصرة المظلوم إذ رد الظالم عن ظلمه نصرته-
Command to stop the oppressor and support the oppressed, as stopping the oppressor is support
Hadith Number: 5166
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا محفوظ بن ابي توبة ، حدثنا علي بن عياش ، حدثنا ابو إسحاق الفزاري ، عن عاصم بن محمد بن زيد العمري ، عن ابيه ، قال: سمعت ابن عمر ، يقول: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " انصر اخاك ظالما او مظلوما"، قيل: يا رسول الله، هذا نصره مظلوما، فكيف انصره ظالما؟ قال:" تمسكه من الظلم، فذاك نصرك إياه" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Help your brother whether he is an oppressor or oppressed." It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Helping the oppressed is understandable, but how can I help the oppressor?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Stop him from committing oppression; that is your helping him."
