Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) hold Sayyiduna Sufyan bin Abu Suhail (may Allah be pleased with him) by his side and say:“O Sufyan! Do not let your lower garment hang (below the ankles), for Allah Almighty will not look with mercy at those who let (their garments) hang below the ankles.”
