The Prophet Cursed Women Who Add Hair and Those Who Request It
Hadith Number: 5516
اخبرنا عمران بن موسى بن مجاشع ، قال: حدثنا عثمان بن ابي شيبة ، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن ابي بكير ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، عن عمرو بن مرة ، قال: سمعت الحسن بن مسلم ، عن صفية بنت شيبة ، عن عائشة ، ان جارية من الانصار تزوجت، وانها مرضت، فتمرط شعرها، فارادوا ان يصلوها، فسالوا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن ذلك، " فلعن الواصلة، والمستوصلة" .
Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: A girl from among the Ansar got married. She fell ill and her hair fell out. Those people intended to attach artificial hair to her. They asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about this, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) cursed the one who attaches artificial hair and the one who has it attached.
