Section on Torture – On the prohibition of punishing anyone with Allah’s punishment
Hadith Number: 5611
اخبرنا الحسين بن محمد بن ابي معشر ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن وهب بن ابي كريمة ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن سلمة ، عن ابي عبد الرحيم ، عن زيد بن ابي انيسة ، عن يزيد بن ابي حبيب ، عن ابي إسحاق الدوسي ، عن ابي هريرة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " إذا لقيتم هبار بن الاسود، ونافع بن عبد القيس، فحرقوهما بالنار، ثم إن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال بعد ذلك: لا يعذب بها إلا الله، ولكن إذا لقيتموهما فاقتلوهما" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When you encounter Ahbar bin Aswad and Nafi’ bin ‘Abd Qais, burn both of them in the fire." After this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only Allah Almighty can punish with fire. When you encounter both of them, then kill them."
