كِتَابُ الأُضْحِيَةِ
Book of Sacrifice
ذكر أمر المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم بأكل لحوم الضحايا بعد ثلاث نسخا لما تقدم من نهيه صلى الله عليه وسلم عنه-
The Prophet later allowed eating sacrificial meat after three days, abrogating the previous prohibition
Hadith Number: 5925
اخبرنا عمر بن سعيد بن سنان ، قال: اخبرنا احمد بن ابي بكر ، عن مالك ، عن ابي الزبير المكي ، عن جابر بن عبد الله انه اخبره، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " نهى عن اكل لحوم الضحايا بعد ثلاث، ثم قال بعد ذلك: كلوا وتزودوا وادخروا" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: At first, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade eating the meat of the sacrifice after three days. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Eat (the meat of the sacrifice), take it as provision for the journey, and store it as well.
