باب ما جاء في الفتن - ذكر ما يجب على المرء من لزوم خاصة نفسه وإصلاح عمله عند تغيير الأمر ووقوع الفتن-
Section on Tribulations - What a person must do: focus on oneself and correct one's deeds during times of turmoil
Hadith Number: 5950
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا امية بن بسطام ، حدثنا يزيد بن زريع ، حدثنا روح بن القاسم ، عن العلاء ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " كيف انت يا عبد الله، إذا بقيت في حثالة من الناس؟" قال: وذاك ما هم يا رسول الله؟ قال:" ذاك إذا مرجت اماناتهم وعهودهم، وصاروا هكذا وشبك بين اصابعه"، قال: فكيف بي يا رسول الله؟ قال:" تعمل ما تعرف، ودع ما تنكر، وتعمل بخاصة نفسك، وتدع عوام الناس" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Abdullah, what will be your condition when you will be among the dregs of the people? He said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Who will these people be? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This situation will arise when their trusts and their covenants will become like this. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) interlaced his fingers. He said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What should I do at that time? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do what you consider to be good, and leave what you consider to be evil, and act for your own self, and leave the people to their own state.
