Section on Fetus Compensation - Description of the compensation owed for a miscarried fetus
Hadith Number: 6017
اخبرنا عمر بن سعيد بن سنان ، قال: اخبرنا احمد بن ابي بكر ، عن مالك ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن ابي سلمة ، عن ابي هريرة :" ان امراتين من هذيل رمت إحداهما الاخرى، فطرحت جنينها، فقضى فيه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بغرة: عبد او وليدة" .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Among two women belonging to the tribe of Huzail, one killed the other and caused the loss of the child in her womb. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) ruled for the payment of a slave man or woman in this (case).
