باب إخباره صلى الله عليه وسلم عما يكون في أمته من الفتن والحوادث - ذكر الإخبار عما يظهر في الناس من الشح عند وقوع الفتن بهم-
Hadith Number: 6711
اخبرنا محمد بن الحسن بن قتيبة ، قال: حدثنا حرملة بن يحيى ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرنا يونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، قال: حدثني حميد ، ان ابا هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " يتقارب الزمان، وينقص العلم، وتظهر الفتن، ويلقى الشح، ويكثر الهرج"، قالوا: وما الهرج يا رسول الله؟ قال:" القتل، القتل" .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The destruction of my Ummah will be through the foolish youths of the Quraysh."
(The narrator states: Upon hearing this hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, Marwan said: These youths are the very people (who are the rulers of today).)
