Sahih Ibn Hibban
كِتَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَنَاقِبِ الصَّحَابَةِ رِجَالِهِمْ وَنِسَائِهِمْ بِذِكْرِ أَسْمَائِهِمْ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

ذكر عمر بن الخطاب العدوي رضوان الله عليه وقد فعل-
Hadith Number: 6878
اخبرنا ابن قتيبة ، حدثنا حرملة بن يحيى ، حدثنا ابن وهب ، اخبرنا يونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن حمزة بن عبد الله ، عن ابيه ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، انه قال: " بينا انا نائم، إذ رايت قدحا اتيت به فيه لبن فشربت منه، حتى إني لارى الري يجري في اظفاري، ثم اعطيت فضلي عمر بن الخطاب، قالوا: فما اولت ذلك يا رسول الله، قال: العلم" .
Hamzah bin Abdullah narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Once I was asleep and I saw in a dream that a bowl was brought to me in which there was milk. I drank from it until I felt its nourishment flowing in my fingernails. Then I gave the remaining milk to Umar bin Khattab." The people asked: What interpretation did you give to this? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Knowledge."
