Sahih Ibn Hibban
كِتَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَنَاقِبِ الصَّحَابَةِ رِجَالِهِمْ وَنِسَائِهِمْ بِذِكْرِ أَسْمَائِهِمْ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

ذكر وصف الفقه والحكمة اللذين دعا المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم لابن عباس بهما-
Hadith Number: 7055
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا ابو بكر بن ابي شيبة ، حدثنا سليمان بن حرب ، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن عبد الله بن عثمان بن خثيم ، عن سعيد بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس ، قال: كنت في بيت ميمونة بنت الحارث، فوضعت لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم طهورا، فقال: من وضع هذا؟ قالت ميمونة: عبد الله، فقال صلى الله عليه وسلم:" اللهم فقهه في الدين، وعلمه التاويل" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I was present in the house of Sayyida Maymunah bint Harith (may Allah be pleased with her). I placed water for ablution for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He asked: Who placed this? Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: Abdullah did. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated: O Allah! Grant him understanding of the religion and knowledge of the interpretation of the Qur'an.
