Sahih Ibn Hibban

ذكر عمرو بن العاص السهمي رضي الله عنه - ذكر دعاء المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم لجابر بالمغفرة-
Hadith Number: 7140
اخبرنا احمد بن الحسن بن عبد الجبار ، حدثنا الحارث بن سريج ، حدثنا معتمر بن سليمان ، حدثني ابي ، عن ابي نضرة ، عن جابر ، قال: كنت في مسير مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وانا على ناضح، إنما هو في اخريات الناس، فضربه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بشيء كان معه، فجعل بعد ذلك يتقدم الناس يسارعني حتى إني لاكفه، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" اتبيعني بكذا وكذا؟ والله يغفر لك"، قال: قلت هو لك يا رسول الله، قال:" اتبيعنيه بكذا وكذا والله يغفر لك" ، قال: قلت: يا رسول الله هو لك.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was on a journey with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I was riding a camel that was lagging behind all the people. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) struck it with something that he had with him, after which it began to move ahead of the people, to the extent that I had to restrain it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Will you sell this (camel) to me for such and such amount? May Allah forgive you. Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I said, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), it is already yours. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Will you sell it to me for such and such amount? May Allah forgive you. I said, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), it is yours.
