ذكر عمرو بن العاص السهمي رضي الله عنه - ذكر السبب الذي من أجله دعا المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم لأبي زيد بالجمال-
Hadith Number: 7172
اخبرنا احمد بن محمد بن الحسن الشرقي ، حدثنا احمد بن منصور زاج ، حدثنا علي بن الحسن بن شقيق ، وعلي بن الحسين بن واقد ، قالا: حدثنا الحسين بن واقد ، حدثني ابو نهيك ، حدثني عمرو بن اخطب ، قال: استسقى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فاتيته بإناء فيه ماء وفيه شعرة فرفعتها فناولته، فنظر إلي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال:" اللهم جمله" . قال: فرايته وهو ابن ثلاث وتسعين وما في راسه ولحيته شعرة بيضاء.
Sayyiduna Amr bin Akhtab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for water. I brought a vessel to him which contained water, and there was also a hair in it. I picked it up and held it. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was looking at me. He said: O Allah, grant him beauty.
The narrator says: I saw him at the age of 93, and even then there was not a single white hair on his head or beard.
