Sahih Ibn Hibban
كِتَابُ إِخْبَارِهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَنَاقِبِ الصَّحَابَةِ رِجَالِهِمْ وَنِسَائِهِمْ بِذِكْرِ أَسْمَائِهِمْ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Book of the Prophet’s ﷺ Reports on the Virtues of the Companions, Men and Women, by Name
باب فضل الأمة - ذكر الخبر المدحض قول من زعم أن الناس قد استووا في الفضيلة بعد التابعين-
Hadith Number: 7228
اخبرنا الحسين بن عبد الله القطان ، حدثنا نوح بن حبيب ، حدثنا ابو معاوية ، عن الاعمش ، عن إبراهيم ، عن عبيدة ، عن عبد الله ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" خير الناس قرني، ثم الذين يلونهم، ثم الذين يلونهم، ثم يجيء قوم تسبق شهادتهم ايمانهم وايمانهم شهادتهم" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "The best of people are those of my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then there will come people whose testimony will precede their oath, and their oath will precede their testimony."
