باب فضل الصحابة والتابعين رضي الله عنهم - ذكر البيان بأن أسلم وغفار خير عند الله من أسد وغطفان-
Hadith Number: 7290
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، حدثنا عبد الصمد ، حدثنا شعبة ، حدثنا ابو بشر ، قال: سمعت عبد الرحمن بن ابي بكرة يحدث، عن ابيه ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" اسلم، وغفار، وجهينة، ومزينة خير من بني تميم، واسد، وغطفان، وبني عامر بن صعصعة" . قال قال شعبة : وحدثني سيد بني تميم محمد بن عبد الله بن ابي يعقوب الضبي ، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي بكرة ، عن ابيه ، قال: وقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ارايتم إن كانت اسلم، وغفار، وجهينة، ومزينة خيرا من بني تميم، وبني عامر بن صعصعة، واسد، وغطفان اخابوا وخسروا؟"، قالوا: نعم، قال:" فوالذي نفسي بيده إنهم خير منهم" .
Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Aslam, Ghifar, Juhainah, and Muzainah, Banu Tamim, Asad, Ghatafan, and Banu Amir bin Sa'sa'ah (these tribes) are better." The narrator named Shu'bah says: The chief of Banu Tamim, Muhammad bin Abdullah, narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakrah, from his father, the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "What is your opinion, if the people of the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Juhainah, and Muzainah are better than Banu Tamim, Banu Amir bin Sa'sa'ah, Banu Asad, and Banu Ghatafan, then will they (i.e., Banu Tamim and others) be disgraced and suffer loss?" The people replied: "Yes." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, these people are better than them."
