Chapter: Another number for the tasbih
Hadith Number: 1351
اخبرنا موسى بن حزام الترمذي، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن آدم، عن ابن إدريس، عن هشام بن حسان، عن محمد بن سيرين، عن كثير ابن افلح، عن زيد بن ثابت، قال: امروا ان يسبحوا دبر كل صلاة ثلاثا وثلاثين , ويحمدوا ثلاثا وثلاثين , ويكبروا اربعا وثلاثين , فاتي رجل من الانصار في منامه , فقيل له: امركم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان تسبحوا دبر كل صلاة ثلاثا وثلاثين , وتحمدوا ثلاثا وثلاثين , وتكبروا اربعا وثلاثين , قال: نعم , قال: فاجعلوها خمسا وعشرين , واجعلوا فيها التهليل فلما اصبح اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فذكر ذلك له , فقال:" اجعلوها كذلك".
It was narrated that Zaid bin Thabit said: "They were commanded to say the tasbih thirty-three times following the prayer, and to say the tahmid thirty-three times, and to say the takbir thirty-four times, then a man from among the Ansar was told in a dream: 'Did the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) command you to say the tasbih thirty-three times following the prayer, and to say the tahmid thirty-three times, and to say the takbir thirty-four times?' He said: 'Yes.' 'Instead of that, say each one twenty-five times, and include the tahlil among them.' The next morning he came to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and told him about that, and he said: 'Do that.'"

Hadith Number: 1352
اخبرنا عبيد الله بن عبد الكريم ابو زرعة الرازي، قال: حدثنا احمد بن عبد الله بن يونس، قال: حدثني علي بن الفضيل بن عياض، عن عبد العزيز بن ابي رواد، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر، ان رجلا راى فيما يرى النائم , قيل له: باي شيء امركم نبيكم صلى الله عليه وسلم , قال: امرنا ان نسبح ثلاثا وثلاثين , ونحمد ثلاثا وثلاثين , ونكبر اربعا وثلاثين فتلك مائة , قال: سبحوا خمسا وعشرين , واحمدوا خمسا وعشرين , وكبروا خمسا وعشرين , وهللوا خمسا وعشرين , واحمدوا خمسا وعشرين , وكبروا خمسا وعشرين وهللوا خمسا وعشرين فتلك مائة فلما اصبح ذكر ذلك للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم , فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" افعلوا كما قال الانصاري".
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that: A man saw in a dream that it was said to him: "What does your Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) command you to do?" He said: "He commanded us to say Tasbih thirty-three times following the prayer, and to say the tahmid thirty-three times, and to say the takbir thirty-four times, and that makes one-hundred." He said: Say the tasbih twenty-five times and say the tahmid twenty-five times and say the takbir twenty-five times and say the tahlil twenty-five times, and that will make one hundred." The following morning he told the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) about that and the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: "Do what the Ansari said."
