Chapter. To offer the Eid prayer early.
Hadith Number: Q968
And Abdullah bin Busr, the Companion, (objected to the Imam coming out late in the region of Sham and) said: We used to finish the prayer at a time when it was permissible to offer voluntary prayers.
Hadith Number: 968
Narrated Al-Bara': The Prophet delivered the Khutba on the day of Nahr (`Id-ul-Adha) and said, "The first thing we should do on this day of ours is to pray and then return and slaughter (our sacrifices). So anyone who does so he acted according to our Sunna; and whoever slaughtered before the prayer then it was just meat that he offered to his family and would not be considered as a sacrifice in any way. My uncle Abu Burda bin Niyyar got up and said, "O, Allah's Apostle! I slaughtered the sacrifice before the prayer but I have a young she-goat which is better than an older sheep." The Prophet said, "Slaughter it in lieu of the first and such a goat will not be considered as a sacrifice for anybody else after you."

Chapter. Superiority of (doing good) deeds on the days of Tashriq (11th, 12th, 13th of Dhul-Hijjah).
Hadith Number: Q969
And Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that in (the verse) "And remember Allah during the appointed days," the "appointed days" refer to the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, and «اأيام المعدودات» refers to the days of Tashreeq. Ibn Umar and Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to go out to the marketplace during these ten days, and when people heard their takbeer (proclamation of Allah's greatness), they would also say the takbeer. And Muhammad bin Baqir (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say the takbeer even after voluntary prayers.
Hadith Number: 969

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet said, "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)." Then some companions of the Prophet said, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things."
