It is narrated from Hasan bin Jabir (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma’dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared certain things forbidden on the day of Khaybar and then said:“It is near that one of you will belie me while reclining on his couch, and after my hadith is narrated, he will say: ‘The Book of Allah is sufficient between us and you. Whatever we find lawful in it, we will consider lawful, and whatever we find unlawful in it, we will consider unlawful.’ Beware! Indeed, whatever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has declared unlawful is like what Allah the Exalted has declared unlawful.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma’dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Beware! I have been given the Qur’an and something like it along with it. Beware! Soon there will be a man, reclining on his couch, who will say: ‘Hold fast only to the Qur’an; whatever you find in it as lawful, consider it lawful, and whatever you find in it as unlawful, consider it unlawful.’ Beware! The domestic donkey and the predatory animal with fangs are not lawful for you, nor is the lost property of a dhimmi lawful for you, unless its owner has given up hope of it. And if people stay with a nation, it is incumbent upon that nation to host them. If they do not host them, it is permissible for the guests to take from their wealth an amount equivalent to their hospitality.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“I certainly, certainly know that a time will come when a narration from me will reach one of you while he is reclining on his couch, and he will say: ‘I do not find this command in the Book of Allah.’”

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I know among you a person to whom my hadith will reach, while he will be reclining on his couch, and he will say: 'Recite to me (only) the Qur'an; whatever good thing reaches you from me, whether I have said it or not, then I have said it; and if any evil thing reaches you, then I am not the one who says evil.'"

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us, praised and glorified Allah as is His due, and then said: «أَمَّا بَعْدُ» Verily, the truest word is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst matters are those that are newly invented, and every innovation is misguidance.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:“Whoever establishes a path of misguidance and then it is followed, he will bear a sin equal to the sins of those who follow him, without their sins being diminished in any way. Likewise, whoever establishes a path of guidance and then it is followed, he will have a reward equal to the rewards of those who follow him, without their rewards being diminished in any way.”

Ghudaif bin Harith Shumali, may Allah have mercy on him, says: Abdul Malik bin Marwan summoned me. When I went, he said: "O Abu Asma! We have united the people upon two things." I asked: "What are those?" He said: "Raising hands on the pulpits on the day of Jumu'ah and storytelling after the Fajr and Asr prayers." I said: "In my view, these are the two best examples of your innovations, and I will not do any of them." He asked: "Why?" I replied: "Because the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Whenever a people invent a bid'ah (innovation), a sunnah of equal measure will be taken away from them. Thus, holding fast to the sunnah is better than inventing a bid'ah.'"

Sa’d bin Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) says: A man made a will regarding his three houses that a third of each house should be given to a certain person. I asked Qasim bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) about this, and he said:“Allocate one house for the three individuals (and the remaining two houses for the heirs).”Indeed, I heard from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Whoever does an act upon which there is no command from us, then that act is rejected.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Some of those who kept my company and saw me will come to me at the Pond, but when they are brought towards me, they will be pulled away from me.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying:“I will precede you at the Hawd (the Pond), whoever comes there will drink from it, and whoever drinks from it will never feel thirsty again. And some people will come to me at the Hawd whom I will recognize and they will recognize me, but then a barrier will be placed between me and them.”Abu Hazim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Then Nu’man bin Abu ‘Ayyash (may Allah have mercy on him) heard, while I was narrating this hadith to him, so he said:“Did you hear Sayyiduna Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) saying this in this way?”I said:“Yes.”He said:“And I heard Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) say: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘I will say: These people are from me,’ but it will be said to you: ‘You do not know what they did after you.’ So I will say: ‘Destruction, destruction, for the one who changed (the religion) after me.’”
