It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a man bought some fruit, but a calamity befell that fruit, due to which the man became heavily indebted. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give charity to him." People gave charity, but the amount was less than his debt. Eventually, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the creditors: "Take whatever is being given to you, and apart from that, there is nothing more."

Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a man who used to trade, but he had some weakness in his intellect. Please put a restriction on this man, because he makes deals and his intellect is weak (so he suffers losses)."
Yazid bin Hurmaz says: Najdah wrote a letter to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) to ask five things, ... ... one of them was: when does the period of orphanhood for an orphan end? Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) wrote in reply: You have asked me when the period of orphanhood for an orphan ends. By my life, a man’s beard may grow, but even then he may remain weak in handling his affairs. When he is able to choose the good for himself from among the matters of people, then his orphanhood ends.
