Al-Fath al-Rabbani
بَابُ التَّنْفِيرِ مِنَ الْقَذَفِ وَأَنَّهُ مِنَ الْكَبَائِرِ
Chapter: Warning Against Slander and That It Is Among the Major Sins
Hadith Number: 6747
عن ابن عمر قال: الا اخبركم بخمس سمعتهن من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم، فذكر منهن: ((ومن قفا مؤمنا او مؤمنة حبسه الله في ردغة الخبال، عصارة اهل النار))
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: Shall I not tell you the five things which I heard from the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him? Then he mentioned them, and among them was this: Whoever accuses a believing man or woman of adultery, Allah Almighty will make him dwell in Radghat al-Khabal, that is, the pus of the people of Hell.

Hadith Number: 6748
عن ابي هريرة قال: سمعت نبي التوبة صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يقول: ((ايما رجل قذف مملوكه وهو بريء مما قال، اقام عليه الحد يوم القيامة إلا ان يكون كما قال))
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet of Repentance (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever accuses his slave of something, while the slave is innocent of that accusation, Allah Almighty will establish the prescribed punishment upon him on the Day of Resurrection, unless it is exactly as his master has said about him.

Hadith Number: 6749
عن ابي ذر قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يقول: ((من زنى امة لم يرها تزني، جلده الله يوم القيامة بسوطا من نار))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever accuses his slave-girl of adultery, while he has not seen her committing adultery, then on the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will punish him with a whip of fire.

بَابٌ فِي أَنَّ حَدَّ الْقَذَفِ ثَمَانُونَ جَلَدَةٌ
Chapter: That the Hadd for Slander Is Eighty Lashes
Hadith Number: 6750
عن عمرو بن شعيب عن ابيه عن جده قال: قضى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم في ولد المتلاعنين: ((انه يرث امه وترثه امه، ومن قفاها به جلد ثمانين، ومن دعاه ولد زنا جلد ثمانين))
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both): Regarding the children of those who perform li'an, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) gave this ruling: These children will belong to their mother, and their mother will be their heir. And whoever accuses this woman (of adultery), he will be given eighty (80) lashes, and whoever declares such children to be children of adultery, he will also be given eighty (80) lashes.

Hadith Number: 6751
عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: لما نزل عذري قام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم على المنبر فذكر ذلك وتلا القرآن فلما نزل امر برجلين وامراة فضربوا حدهم
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: When my innocence was revealed, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit, mentioned the matter, then recited the relevant verses of the Holy Qur'an, then when he descended from the pulpit, he ordered that the punishment be carried out on two men and one woman, so the punishment was carried out on them.
