باب آداب الشرب - ذكر إباحة الشرب في الأقداح ضد قول من كرهه من المتصوفة-
Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Permissibility of Drinking from Cups Contrary to Sufi Disapproval
Hadith Number: 5314
اخبرنا عمر بن محمد الهمداني ، قال: حدثنا ابو الطاهر ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرني محمد بن ابي يحيى بن سليمان ، عن ابيه ، عن سعيد بن الحارث ، عن جابر بن عبد الله ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل على رجل من الانصار، ومعه صاحب، فسلم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وصاحبه، فرد الرجل، وقال: بابي انت وامي في ساعة حارة، فقال له: " إن كان عندك ماء بات هذه الليلة في شنة، فاسقناه، وإلا كرعنا"، والرجل يحول الماء في حائطه، فقال: عندي يا رسول الله ماء بائت، فانطلق إلى العريش، وانطلق بهما إلى عريشة، فسكب في قدح ماء، ثم حلب عليه من داجن له، فشرب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثم عاد فشرب الرجل الذي جاء مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) went to an Ansari's house. A companion was with him. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companion greeted with salam. That person replied. He said: May my parents be sacrificed for you, the heat is intense. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: If you have such water that has been kept in a water-skin since last night, then give it to us to drink, otherwise we will drink the water (used for irrigating the field). That person was irrigating his garden at that time. He said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I have such water that has been kept since last night. Then he went to the shelter, took both of them under it. He poured water from a water-skin, then milked his goat and presented it to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it. Then he milked again, and the companion who had come with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also drank it.
باب آداب الشرب - ذكر الزجر عن الشرب في الثلم الذي يكون في الأقداح والأواني-
Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Prohibition of Drinking from a Chipped Side of Cups and Vessels
Hadith Number: 5315
اخبرنا عمر بن محمد الهمداني ، قال: حدثنا ابو الطاهر ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرني قرة بن عبد الرحمن ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله ، عن ابي سعيد ، قال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الشرب من ثلمة القدح، وان ينفخ في الشراب" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (using) a cup with a broken edge and from blowing into a drink.
باب آداب الشرب - ذكر الزجر عن الشرب من أفواه الأسقية-
Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Prohibition of Drinking Directly from the Mouth of Water Skins
Hadith Number: 5316
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا ابو كامل الفضيل بن الحسين الجحدري ، حدثنا يزيد بن زريع ، حدثنا خالد الحذاء ، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" نهى ان يشرب الرجل من في السقاء، وان يتنفس في الإناء" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade that a person drink directly from a waterskin by putting his mouth to it, or breathe into a vessel.
باب آداب الشرب - ذكر العلة التي من أجلها زجر عن هذا الفعل-
Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Reason for the Prohibition of This Act
Hadith Number: 5317
اخبرنا محمد بن الحسن بن قتيبة ، حدثنا حرملة بن يحيى ، حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرني يونس ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله ، عن ابي سعيد الخدري ، قال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن اختناث الاسقية: ان يشرب من افواهها" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking directly from the mouth of a water-skin.
باب آداب الشرب - ذكر إباحة شرب الماء إذا كان قائما-
Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Permissibility of Drinking Water While Standing
Hadith Number: 5318
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، قال: حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، قال: حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة ، عن يزيد بن يزيد بن جابر ، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي عمرة ، عن جدة له يقال لها كبشة ،" ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل عليها، فشرب من فم قربة وهو قائم، فقامت إليه فقطعته، فامسكته" .
Sayyida Kabsha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her house, and he drank water while standing, placing his mouth on the mouth of the waterskin. Then that woman got up and went to the waterskin. She cut off its edge and kept it with her.
باب آداب الشرب - ذكر البيان بأن هذا الفعل لم يكن منه صلى الله عليه وسلم مرة واحدة فقط-
Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Clarification That the Prophet Did This More Than Once
Hadith Number: 5319
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق الثقفي ، حدثنا محمد بن بكار ، واحمد بن منيع ، وعمرو بن زرارة ، وزياد بن ايوب ، قالوا: حدثنا هشيم بن بشير ، حدثنا عاصم ، ومغيرة ، عن الشعبي ، عن ابن عباس ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " شرب من ماء زمزم وهو قائم".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) drank Zamzam water while standing.
Hadith Number: 5320
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق بن خزيمة ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا وهب بن جرير ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، عن عاصم ، عن الشعبي ، عن ابن عباس ،" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مر بزمزم، فاستسقى، فاتيته بالدلو، فشرب وهو قائم" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by Zamzam. He asked for water. I brought water for him in a bucket, and he drank it while standing.
باب آداب الشرب - ذكر الزجر عن الشيء الذي يبيحه الفعل الذي ذكرناه قبل-
Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Prohibition of What the Previous Action Permitted
Hadith Number: 5321
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، قال: حدثنا هدبة بن خالد ، قال: حدثنا همام بن يحيى ، عن قتادة ، عن انس بن مالك ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم " نهى عن الشرب قائما" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking while standing.
باب آداب الشرب - ذكر ترك إنكار المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم على فاعل الفعل الذي ذكرناه-
Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - The Prophet Did Not Forbid the Doer of the Previously Mentioned Act
Hadith Number: 5322
اخبرنا محمد بن المسيب بن إسحاق ، قال: حدثنا هشام بن يونس بن وابل بن الوضاح اللؤلئي ، وسلم بن جنادة بن سلم الكوفيان، قالا: حدثنا حفص بن غياث ، عن عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، قال:" كنا على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ناكل ونحن نمشي، ونشرب ونحن قيام" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: In the blessed era of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to eat while walking and drink while standing.
باب آداب الشرب - ذكر الزجر عن أن يشرب المرء وهو غير قاعد-
Chapter on Etiquette of Drinking - Prohibition of Drinking While Not Seated
Hadith Number: 5323
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا هدبة بن خالد ، قال: حدثنا همام بن يحيى ، قال: حدثنا قتادة ، عن انس بن مالك ،" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم زجر عن الشرب قائما" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking while standing.
