It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the shins of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) were somewhat slender, he did not laugh but only smiled, and when I looked at him, it seemed as if he had applied kohl to his eyes, although he had not applied any kohl.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the laughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was only a smile (he did not laugh loudly). Imam Abu Isa (Tirmidhi) says that this hadith is rare among the narrations of Laith bin Sa'd.

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (Ghifari) رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "I know well the person who will enter Paradise first, and I also know the person who will be the last to be taken out of Hell. On the Day of Resurrection, a man will be presented before Allah, and it will be said: 'Present to him his minor sins, and keep his major sins hidden from him.' Then it will be said: 'Did you do such and such deeds on such and such a day?' He will admit to those deeds and will not deny them, and he will be fearful of his major sins. Then it will be said: 'For every sin that he committed, give him a good deed in exchange.' (When he sees this situation) he will say: 'I have some other sins as well that I do not see here.'" Sayyiduna Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه says: I saw that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم laughed so much that his blessed front teeth became visible.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, I know well the person who will be the last to come out of Hell. He will be a man who will crawl out of Hell dragging himself on his buttocks, and he will be commanded: 'Go, enter Paradise.'" He says, "That person will go to enter Paradise and will see that all the people have already taken their places in Paradise. He will return and say: 'O Lord! Everyone has already occupied their places.' Then it will be said to him: 'Do you remember the time in the world when you were there (how vast the world was)?' He will say: 'Yes, my Lord! I remember that time.' Then it will be said to him: 'Wish for something.' So he will wish. Then it will be said to him: 'You are given according to your wish and ten times as much as the whole world.' He will say: 'O Lord! Are You making fun of me while You are the King of kings?'" Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated this statement of that person, he (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed so much that his blessed teeth became visible.

Ali bin Rabi’ah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: I was present in the service of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) when a riding animal was brought for him so that he could mount it. When he placed his foot in the stirrup, he said“Bismillah”(In the name of Allah), and when he sat upright on the mount, he said“Alhamdulillah”(All praise is due to Allah), then he recited this supplication: «سبحان الذي سخرلنا هذا وما كنا له مقرنين وانا الي ربنا لمنقلبون» ,“Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could not have subdued it (by ourselves), and surely to our Lord we are returning.”Then he said“Alhamdulillah”three times,“Allahu Akbar”three times, and recited this supplication: «سبحانك اني ظلمت نفسي فاغفرلي فانه لا يغفر الذنوب الا انت» ,“O Allah, You are pure, I have indeed wronged myself, so forgive me, for surely none forgives sins except You.”Then Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) smiled. I asked,“O Commander of the Faithful! Why did you smile?”He replied,“I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) do as I have done, and then he smiled. So I also asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Why did you smile?’ He replied, ‘Indeed, your Lord is pleased with His servant when he says, ‘O my Lord, forgive my sins, for none forgives sins except You.””

‘Amir bin Sa’d (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Trench laughing so much that his molar teeth became visible. (‘Amir bin Sa’d says) I asked,“Why did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) laugh so much?”He replied: There was a (disbelieving) man who had a shield, and although Sa’d was a great archer, that disbeliever kept moving his shield here and there to protect his face. Then Sa’d took an arrow from his quiver, and as soon as that disbeliever raised his head, Sa’d immediately shot the arrow, and this time the arrow did not miss but struck him straight on the forehead, and he fell down with his leg raised up. At this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed until his blessed teeth became visible. ‘Amir says: I asked,“Why did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) laugh?”He replied: Because of what Sa’d did to that disbeliever.
