Saying Bismillah before hunting.
Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the game that dies after being struck by the shaft of an arrow. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Eat that (animal) which is struck by the sharp edge of the arrow, and if it is struck by the broad side, it is like being beaten with sticks.”And I also asked about the game hunted by a dog. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“(If the dog does not eat from it itself) and keeps it for you, then eat it (because) the catching of such a dog is like slaughtering. And if, along with your dog or dogs, you see another person’s dog as well, and you suspect that your dog, together with the other, has caught and killed the game, then do not eat it, because you recited ‘Bismillah’ when releasing your own dog, not for the other dogs.”

Hunting with a bow.
Sayyiduna Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I asked,“O Messenger of Allah! We live in the land of the People of the Book, so can we eat from their utensils (or not)? And we live in the hunting wilderness, so can we hunt with bows and arrows, or with trained dogs, and with untrained dogs, or not? Please tell us what is correct.”He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“As for what you mentioned about the People of the Book, (the answer is) if you find utensils other than theirs, then do not eat in their utensils, and if you do not find (other utensils), then wash them well and eat in them. And (regarding hunting), if you hunt with an arrow, then recite ‘Bismillah’ and eat it. And if you send a trained dog, reciting ‘Bismillah’, and it hunts, then eating it is permissible. And if (you did not recite ‘Bismillah’ and) the dog was not trained, then after slaughtering (the animal), eating it is permissible.”

Throwing small pebbles or grains with fingers.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw a person throwing pebbles with two fingers, so he said to him, "Do not throw like this, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade this or considered it disliked (the narrator is uncertain), and he said that there is no benefit in it: neither is any game hunted nor is any enemy wounded, but (the pebble) may break someone's tooth or put out an eye (i.e., there is no benefit except harm)." After that, he saw him doing the same again and said, "I narrated to you the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he forbade or disliked throwing pebbles in this way, yet you are still doing it. Now I will not speak to you for such and such a period."

Ruling on game that escapes after being wounded.
The hadith of Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) (Hadith, Book: Statement regarding Slaughter and Hunting... Chapter: Regarding Saying Bismillah on the Hunt...) has passed, and in this narration, there is this addition: ...and if you shot the game with an arrow and (after being wounded) you find it dead after two or three days, and if you do not notice any sign of its death except the wound from your arrow, then eating it is permissible. But if you find it fallen in water, then eating it is not permissible.
