بَابُ مَنَاقِبُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلاَمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ:
(19) Chapter. The virtues Abdullah bin Salam.
Hadith Number: 3812
حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف، قال: سمعت مالكا يحدث، عن ابي النضر مولى عمر بن عبيد الله، عن عامر بن سعد بن ابي وقاص، عن ابيه، قال:" ما سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول لاحد يمشي على الارض إنه من اهل الجنة إلا لعبد الله بن سلام"، قال: وفيه نزلت هذه الآية وشهد شاهد من بني إسرائيل على مثله سورة الاحقاف آية 10 الآية، قال: لا ادري، قال: مالك الآية او في الحديث.
Narrated Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas: I have never heard the Prophet saying about anybody walking on the earth that he is from the people of Paradise except `Abdullah bin Salam. The following Verse was revealed concerning him: "And a witness from the children of Israel testifies that this Qur'an is true" (46.10)

Hadith Number: 3813
حدثني عبد الله بن محمد، حدثنا ازهر السمان، عن ابن عون، عن محمد، عن قيس بن عباد، قال: كنت جالسا في مسجد المدينة فدخل رجل على وجهه اثر الخشوع، فقالوا: هذا رجل من اهل الجنة , فصلى ركعتين تجوز فيهما ثم خرج وتبعته، فقلت: إنك حين دخلت المسجد، قالوا: هذا رجل من اهل الجنة، قال: والله ما ينبغي لاحد ان، يقول: ما لا يعلم وساحدثك لم ذاك , رايت رؤيا على عهد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقصصتها عليه ورايت كاني في روضة ذكر من سعتها وخضرتها وسطها عمود من حديد اسفله في الارض , واعلاه في السماء في اعلاه عروة، فقيل: له ارقه، قلت: لا استطيع فاتاني منصف فرفع ثيابي من خلفي , فرقيت حتى كنت في اعلاها فاخذت بالعروة، فقيل: له استمسك فاستيقظت وإنها لفي يدي فقصصتها على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" تلك الروضة: الإسلام , وذلك العمود: عمود الإسلام , وتلك العروة: عروة الوثقى , فانت على الإسلام حتى تموت" وذاك الرجل عبد الله بن سلام، وقال لي خليفة: حدثنا معاذ، حدثنا ابن عون، عن محمد، حدثنا قيس بن عباد، عن ابن سلام، قال: وصيف مكان منصف.
Narrated Qais bin Ubad: While I was sitting in the Mosque of Medina, there entered a man (Abdullah bin Salam) with signs of solemnity over his face. The people said, "He is one of the people of Paradise." He prayed two light rak`at and then left. I followed him and said, "When you entered the Mosque, the people said, 'He is one of the people of Paradise.' " He said, "By Allah, one ought not say what he does not know; and I will tell you why. In the lifetime of the Prophet I had a dream which I narrated to him. I saw as if I were in a garden." He then described its extension and greenery. He added: In its center there was an iron pillar whose lower end was fixed in the earth and the upper end was in the sky, and at its upper end there was a (ring-shaped) hand-hold. I was told to climb it. I said, "I can't." "Then a servant came to me and lifted my clothes from behind and I climbed till I reached the top (of the pillar). Then I got hold of the hand-hold, and I was told to hold it tightly, then I woke up and (the effect of) the handhold was in my hand. I narrated al I that to the Prophet who said, 'The garden is Islam, and the handhold is the Most Truth-worthy Hand-Hold. So you will remain as a Muslim till you die." The narrator added: "The man was `Abdullah bin Salam."

Hadith Number: 3814
حدثنا سليمان بن حرب، حدثنا شعبة، عن سعيد بن ابي بردة، عن ابيه , اتيت المدينة فلقيت عبد الله بن سلام رضي الله عنه، فقال:" الا تجيء فاطعمك سويقا وتمرا وتدخل في بيت"، ثم قال:" إنك بارض الربا بها فاش إذا كان لك على رجل حق، فاهدى إليك حمل تبن او حمل شعير او حمل قت فلا تاخذه، فإنه ربا" , ولم يذكر النضر , وابو داود , ووهب عن شعبة البيت".
Narrated Abu Burda: When I came to Medina. I met `Abdullah bin Salam. He said, "Will you come to me so that I may serve you with Sawiq (i.e. powdered barley) and dates, and let you enter a (blessed) house that in which the Prophet entered?" Then he added, "You are In a country where the practice of Riba (i.e. usury) is prevalent; so if somebody owe you something and he sends you a present of a load of chopped straw or a load of barley or a load of provender then do not take it, as it is Riba."

بَابُ تَزْوِيجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَدِيجَةَ، وَفَضْلُهَا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا:
(20) Chapter. The marriage of the Prophet with Khadija ا and her superiority.
Hadith Number: 3815
حدثني محمد، اخبرنا عبدة، عن هشام بن عروة، عن ابيه، قال: سمعت عبد الله بن جعفر، قال: سمعت عليا رضي الله عنه، يقول: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول. ح حدثني صدقة، اخبرنا عبدة، عن هشام، عن ابيه، قال: سمعت عبد الله بن جعفر، عن علي بن ابي طالب رضي الله عنهم، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" خير نسائها مريم، وخير نسائها خديجة".
Narrated `Ali: I heard Allah's Apostle saying (as below) Narrated `Ali: The Prophet said, "The best of the world's women is Mary (at her lifetime), and the best of the world's women is Khadija (at her lifetime).

Hadith Number: 3816
حدثنا سعيد بن عفير، حدثنا الليث، قال: كتب إلي هشام، عن ابيه، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، قالت:" ما غرت على امراة للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ما غرت على خديجة هلكت قبل ان يتزوجني لما كنت اسمعه يذكرها وامره الله ان يبشرها ببيت من قصب، وإن كان ليذبح الشاة فيهدي في خلائلها منها ما يسعهن".
Narrated `Aisha: I did not feel jealous of any of the wives of the Prophet as much as I did of Khadija (although) she died before he married me, for I often heard him mentioning her, and Allah had told him to give her the good tidings that she would have a palace of Qasab (i.e. pipes of precious stones and pearls in Paradise), and whenever he slaughtered a sheep, he would send her women-friends a good share of it.

Hadith Number: 3817
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد، حدثنا حميد بن عبد الرحمن، عن هشام بن عروة، عن ابيه، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، قالت:" ما غرت على امراة ما غرت على خديجة من كثرة ذكر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إياها"، قالت:" وتزوجني بعدها بثلاث سنين , وامره ربه عز وجل او جبريل عليه السلام ان يبشرها ببيت في الجنة من قصب".
Narrated `Aisha: I did not feel jealous of any woman as much as I did of Khadija because Allah's Apostle used to mention her very often. He married me after three years of her death, and his Lord (or Gabriel) ordered him to give her the good news of having a palace of Qasab in Paradise.

Hadith Number: 3818
حدثني عمر بن محمد بن حسن، حدثنا ابي، حدثنا حفص، عن هشام، عن ابيه، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، قالت:" ما غرت على احد من نساء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ما غرت على خديجة , وما رايتها ولكن كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يكثر ذكرها , وربما ذبح الشاة ثم يقطعها اعضاء , ثم يبعثها في صدائق خديجة فربما، قلت: له كانه لم يكن في الدنيا امراة إلا خديجة، فيقول:" إنها كانت وكانت وكان لي منها ولد".
Narrated `Aisha: I did not feel jealous of any of the wives of the Prophet as much as I did of Khadija though I did not see her, but the Prophet used to mention her very often, and when ever he slaughtered a sheep, he would cut its parts and send them to the women friends of Khadija. When I sometimes said to him, "(You treat Khadija in such a way) as if there is no woman on earth except Khadija," he would say, "Khadija was such-and-such, and from her I had children."

Hadith Number: 3819
حدثنا مسدد، حدثنا يحيى، عن إسماعيل، قال: قلت لعبد الله بن ابي اوفى رضي الله عنهما بشر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم خديجة؟ قال:" نعم , ببيت من قصب لا صخب فيه ولا نصب".
Narrated Isma`il: I asked `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa, "Did the Prophet give glad tidings to Khadija?" He said, "Yes, of a palace of Qasab (in Paradise) where there will be neither any noise nor any fatigue."

Hadith Number: 3820
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد، حدثنا محمد بن فضيل، عن عمارة، عن ابي زرعة، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، قال:" اتى جبريل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال:" يا رسول الله هذه خديجة قد اتت معها إناء فيه إدام او طعام او شراب , فإذا هي اتتك فاقرا عليها السلام من ربها ومني , وبشرها ببيت في الجنة من قصب لا صخب فيه ولا نصب".
Narrated Abu Huraira: Gabriel came to the Prophet and said, "O Allah's Apostle! This is Khadija coming to you with a dish having meat soup (or some food or drink). When she reaches you, greet her on behalf of her Lord (i.e. Allah) and on my behalf, and give her the glad tidings of having a Qasab palace in Paradise wherein there will be neither any noise nor any fatigue (trouble) . "

Hadith Number: 3821
وقال إسماعيل بن خليل، اخبرنا علي بن مسهر، عن هشام، عن ابيه، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، قالت:" استاذنت هالة بنت خويلد اخت خديجة على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم , فعرف استئذان خديجة فارتاع لذلك، فقال:" اللهم هالة"، قالت: فغرت، فقلت: ما تذكر من عجوز من عجائز قريش حمراء الشدقين هلكت في الدهر قد ابدلك الله خيرا منها".
Narrated 'Aisha: Once Hala bint Khuwailid, Khadija's sister, asked the permission of the Prophet to enter. On that, the Prophet remembered the way Khadija used to ask permission, and that upset him. He said, "O Allah! Hala!" So I became jealous and said, "What makes you remember an old woman amongst the old women of Quraish an old woman (with a teethless mouth) of red gums who died long ago, and in whose place Allah has given you somebody better than her?"
