Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim
About Yusuf (Joseph) عليه السلام.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that it was said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah! Who is the most honorable among the people?" He (peace be upon him) said: "The one who has the most fear of Allah." They said: "We are not asking about this." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Then the most honorable among the people is Sayyiduna Yusuf (peace be upon him), the Prophet of Allah, son of a Prophet, son of a Prophet, and the Khalil of Allah (peace be upon him)." They said: "We are not asking about this." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Are you asking about the Arab tribes?" So, the best among the Arabs are those who were the best in the pre-Islamic period of ignorance, and they are also the best in Islam, when they gain understanding in the religion."
About Zakariya (Zechariah) عليه السلام.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Zakariya (peace be upon him) was a carpenter.
About Yunus (Jonah) عليه السلام.
`Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says that it does not befit any of My servant to say that I am better than Yunus bin Matta.
About Isa (Jesus) عليه السلام.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am the closest of all people to Jesus, son of Mary, in this world and the Hereafter. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah! How is that? He (peace be upon him) said: Prophets are like brothers born of different mothers; their religion is one, and there is no prophet between me and him.
Every child is touched by Satan except Maryam and Isa.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: There is no child who is born but that Satan touches him, so he cries because of Satan's touch, except for Maryam (peace be upon her) and her child (that is, Sayyiduna Isa (peace be upon him) and his mother, Sayyida Maryam (peace be upon her), whom Satan could not touch). Then Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If you wish, recite this verse (the mother of Maryam and the wife of Imran said): "I seek refuge for her and her offspring with You from the accursed Satan." (Aal-e-Imran: 36).
Isa's saying: "I believed in Allah and denied myself."
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jesus (peace be upon him) saw a man stealing, so he said to him, "Did you steal?" The man replied, "No, by Him besides whom there is no one worthy of worship (I did not steal)." Jesus (peace be upon him) said, "I believe in Allah, and I consider myself a liar (meaning, it must be my mistake, since you swear by Allah, you must be truthful)."
