Allah’s mercy for His servants exceeds a mother’s mercy for her child.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: Prisoners were brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and among them was a woman searching for her (child). When she found her child, she picked him up, held him to her chest, and began to nurse him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to us: Do you think this woman would throw her child into the fire? We said: By Allah, she would never be able to do that. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah is more merciful to His servants than this woman is to her child.

Deeds alone do not save anyone.
Narrated from Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Be moderate, and if you cannot be perfectly moderate, then try to come close to it, and be happy. For no one’s deeds will admit him to Paradise. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah! Not even you? He (peace be upon him) said: Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy. And know that the most beloved deeds to Allah are those which are done regularly, even if they are few.

No one is more patient over harm than Allah.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that: There is no one more patient over harm or trouble than Allah, the Glorious and Exalted (despite having all power). People associate partners with Allah and attribute a son to Him (even though He has no son; all are His slaves). Yet He grants them health, provides them sustenance, and gives them (all blessings).

No one is more protective (possesses more ghayrah) than Allah.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: No one likes to be praised more than Allah Almighty (because He alone is worthy of praise and all others have faults, so they are not deserving of praise), and for this reason Allah Almighty praised Himself. And there is no one more possessive than Allah, that is why Allah Almighty has forbidden immoralities. And no one likes to accept excuses more than Allah (meaning Allah loves it very much when sinful servants present excuses before Him and seek forgiveness for their sins), and for this reason He sent down the Book and sent the Prophets (and taught repentance).

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah is possessive (has a sense of honor), and the believer is also possessive. And Allah feels possessiveness when a believer does something which Allah has forbidden for him.

Confession of sins in private and whispering.
Safwan bin Muharriz says that a man asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), "What have you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the private conversation?" (Meaning, when Allah Almighty will privately converse with His servant on the Day of Resurrection.) He said, "I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he used to say: The believer will be brought close to his Lord on the Day of Resurrection, until the Lord will place His arm over him and make him confess his sins and will say, 'Do you recognize your sins?' He will say, 'O Lord! I recognize them.' The Lord will say, 'I concealed these sins for you in the world, and today I forgive them for you.' Then he will be given the record of his good deeds. But as for the disbelievers and hypocrites, a public announcement will be made before all creatures: 'These are the people who lied against Allah Almighty.'"

Disbelievers and hypocrites will acknowledge blessings on the Day of Judgment.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that people said, "O Messenger of Allah! Will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do you have any doubt in seeing the sun at midday when there are no clouds?" The companions replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do you have any difficulty in seeing the full moon on the fourteenth night when there are no clouds before it?" The companions replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then, by Him in Whose hand is my soul! You will have no doubt, difference, or difficulty in seeing your Lord, just as you have no doubt in seeing the sun or the moon (i.e., just as there is no confusion in seeing the sun or the moon, likewise there will be no confusion in seeing Allah, the Exalted)."

"Then Allah, the Exalted, will take account from a servant and will say, 'O so-and-so! Did I not honor you, make you a chief, give you a spouse, make horses and camels subservient to you, and leave you to rule over your people and take a fourth (of the spoils)?' The servant will say, 'Yes.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Allah, the Exalted, will say, 'Did you know that you would meet Me?' The servant will say, 'No.' Allah, the Exalted, will say, 'Then today We forget you (i.e., We will not care for you and will not save you from punishment), just as you forgot Us.'"

"Then Allah, the Exalted, will take account from another servant and will say, 'O so-and-so! Did I not honor you, make you a chief, give you a spouse, make horses and camels subservient to you, and leave you to rule over your people and take a fourth (of the spoils)?' The servant will say, 'O my Lord! Yes.' Then Allah, the Exalted, will say, 'Did you know that you would meet Me?' The servant will say, 'No.' Then Allah, the Exalted, will say, 'Then surely today I forget you, just as you forgot Me in the world.'"

"Then He will take account from a third servant and will say to him likewise. The servant will say, 'O Lord! I believed in You, in Your Book, and in Your Messengers, and I prayed, fasted, and gave charity.' He will praise himself as much as he can. Allah, the Exalted, will say, 'Look, here your lie is exposed.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Then it will be ordered, 'Now We set a witness against you.' The servant will think to himself, 'Who will bear witness against me?' Then a seal will be set upon his mouth, and his thigh, flesh, and bones will be told to speak. His thigh, flesh, and bones will bear witness to his deeds, and this testimony will be so that no excuse remains from his own self's testimony.' And this person will be a hypocrite, i.e., a false Muslim, and upon him Allah, the Exalted, will be angry (and the first two were disbelievers. God forbid, unless worship is done sincerely for Allah from the heart, it is of no benefit. Praying or fasting to show people is a calamity; it is better not to do it than to do so with such intention)."

Body parts will testify about a person’s deeds on the Day of Judgment.
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he smiled. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do you know why I smiled?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) know best." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I smiled because of the conversation a servant will have with his Lord. The servant will say, 'O my Lord! Did You not grant me protection from injustice?' (Meaning, You promised not to wrong me.) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, Allah the Exalted will reply, 'Yes! We do not wrong.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, then the servant will say, 'I do not accept the testimony of anyone against me except my own self.' Allah the Exalted will say, 'Fine! Your own self's testimony is sufficient against you today, and the testimony of the noble recording angels.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, then a seal will be set upon the servant's mouth and his limbs (hands and feet) will be ordered to speak. They will speak of all his deeds. Then the servant will be allowed to speak, and he will say to his limbs (hands and feet), 'Go away from me! May Allah's curse be upon you! I was arguing for your sake (meaning, I only wanted to save you from Hellfire, but you yourselves have confessed to the sin, so now go to Hell).'"

Fear of Allah and intense fear of His punishment.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: A man had never done any good deed. When he was about to die, he said to his people: (After my death) burn me and turn me into ashes, then scatter half of the ashes in the forest and half in the sea. By Allah! If Allah finds me, He will punish me with such a punishment as He has never inflicted on anyone in the world. When that man died, the people did as he had said. Allah Almighty commanded the forest, so it gathered all the ashes. Then He commanded the sea, so it also gathered them. Then Allah said to that man: Why did you do this? He replied: O Allah! You know very well that I did this only out of fear of You. So Allah Almighty forgave him.

One who sins and then seeks forgiveness from his Lord.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) narrated from his Lord that a servant committed a sin and said, "O Allah! Forgive my sin." Allah said, "My servant has committed a sin, then he realized that he has a Master who forgives sins and holds accountable for sins." Then he committed a sin again and said, "O my Master! Forgive my sin." Allah said, "My servant has committed a sin and he realized that he has a Lord who forgives sins and holds accountable for sins." Then he committed a sin again and said, "O my Sustainer! Forgive my sin." Allah said, "My servant has committed a sin and he realized that he has a God who forgives sins and holds accountable for sins. O servant! Now do whatever you wish, I have forgiven you." (The narrator of the hadith) Abdul A'la said, "I do not remember whether this 'Now do whatever you wish' was said the third time or the fourth time."
