Musnad Ishaq Bin Rahwiya
If both husband and wife are slaves and one is freed, their options
Hadith Number: 481
اخبرنا الثقفی، نا ایوب، عن عکرمة، عن ابن عباس قال: کان زوج بریرة عبدا اسود، یقال له مغیث، کأنی انظر الیه یطوف وراءها فی سکک المدینة.
Syedna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: Barirah’s husband was an Abyssinian slave, his name was Mughith. It is as if I am seeing him circling behind her (Barirah, may Allah be pleased with her) in the streets of Madinah.

Description of Umm Walad (slave woman who bears a child)
Hadith Number: 482
اخبرنا عیسی بن یونس، نا ابوبکر السبری، عن حسین بن عبداللٰه عن عکرمة، عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول اللٰه صلی اللٰه علیه وسلم لام ابراهیم حین ولدت: اعتقها ولدها.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding (his beloved son) Ibrahim’s (may Allah be pleased with him) mother (Maria al-Qibtiyya, may Allah be pleased with her) at the time when she gave birth to him:“Her son has set her free.”

Hadith Number: 483
اخبرنا وکیع، نا شریك، عن حسین بن عبداللٰه، عن عکرمة، عن ابن عباس، عن رسول اللٰه صلی اللٰه علیه وسلم قال: ایما امة ولدت من سیدها، فهی معتقة عن دبر منه.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Any slave woman who gives birth to a child from her master, she will be free after his (the master's) death."
