Musnad Ishaq Bin Rahwiya
Silk and gold are forbidden for men
Hadith Number: 698
اخبرنا النضر، نا بشر بن عمير بن كثير الاسيدي، عن عبد الله بن شقيق، قال: احسبه، عن ابي هريرة، قال: نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الحرير اشد النهي، فقال رجل لعبد الله بن شقيق: إن هذا عليك حرير، قال: فقال: سبحان الله ليس هذا حرير، فقال: إن سداه حرير، قال: فقال: عبد الله بن شقيق: ما شعرت.
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) strictly forbade (wearing) silk. A man said to Abdullah bin Shaqiq: You too are wearing silk. He replied: Subhan Allah! This is not silk. The man said: Its warp is of silk. Abdullah bin Shaqiq said: I did not know that.

Hadith Number: 699
اخبرنا النضر، نا شعبة، عن قتادة، عن النضر بن انس، عن بشير بن نهيك، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: ((نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن خاتم الذهب)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (wearing) a gold ring.

Prohibition of tattooing and being tattooed
Hadith Number: 700
اخبرنا جرير، عن عمارة بن القعقاع، عن ابي زرعة، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: اتي عمر بامراة تشم قال: انشدكم الله هل سمع احد منكم من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قال: ابو هريرة: فقمت، فقلت: يا امير المؤمنين، انا سمعته قال: فما سمعته، فقلت: سمعته يقول: ((لا تشمن ولا تستوشمن)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: A woman who practiced tattooing was brought to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: I adjure you by Allah, has any one of you heard anything from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about this? Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I stood up and said: O Commander of the Believers! I have heard (something) from him. He said: What have you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? I said: I heard him say: "Do not tattoo, and do not get tattooed." (That is, making marks on the body with a needle and filling them with color.)

Description of gold jewelry
Hadith Number: 701
اخبرنا جرير، عن مطرف، عن ابي الجهم، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: كنت عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فاتته امراة فقالت: يا رسول الله اسواران من ذهب؟ فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((اسواران من نار))، قالت: يا رسول الله: قرطان من ذهب، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((قرطان من نار))، قالت: يا رسول الله، إن المراة إذا لم تزين لزوجها صلفت عنده، قال: فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ((فما يمنعكن ان تجعل قرطين من فضة وتصفريه بعبير او زعفران فيكون كانه ذهب)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a woman came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah! Are there two gold bangles? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are two bangles of fire." She said: O Messenger of Allah! Are there two gold earrings? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are two earrings of fire." She said: O Messenger of Allah! If a woman does not adorn herself for her husband, she will become undesirable to him. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who has forbidden you from making silver earrings and coloring them yellow with ambergris (compound perfume) or saffron so that they become like gold?"

Angels of mercy do not enter where there is a bell
Hadith Number: 702
اخبرنا معاذ بن هشام، وحدثني ابي، عن قتادة، عن زرارة بن اوفى، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ((لا تصحب الملائكة رفقة فيها جرس)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Any caravan in which there is a bell is deprived of the companionship of the angels of mercy."

Replying to gifts
Hadith Number: 703
اخبرنا ابو الوليد، نا شريك، عن هشام بن عبد الملك، عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل قال: سمعت الربيع بنت معوذ ابن عفراء قالت: اتيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بصاع من رطب واجرا من زغب، فجعل في كفي حليا او ذهبا فقال: ((تحلي)).
Sayyida Rabi’ bint Mu’awwidh bin ‘Afra’ (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I brought a tray of fresh dates to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and small cucumbers with a slight fuzz on them were gifted to him. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) placed a gold ornament in my hand and said:“Wear it.”

Encouragement for hijab
Hadith Number: 704
اخبرنا الملائي، نا سفيان، عن ابي إسحاق، عن مجاهد، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ((غطي عنا قناعك يا ام ايمن)).
It is narrated from Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Umm Ayman! Keep your shawl/veil hidden from us."

Description of gold bangles
Hadith Number: 705
اخبرنا سفيان، عن ابن ابي حسين، عن شهر بن حوشب، عن اسماء بنت يزيد بن السكن قالت: ((راى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم على امراة سوارين من نار فرقت به، فما رايناه بعد)).
Sayyida Asma bint Yazid al-Sakan (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a woman wearing two gold bangles, so he said to her: "Do you like that Allah should make you wear two bangles of fire?" So she threw them away, and after that, we did not see them on her again.

Limit of sleeve length for shirts
Hadith Number: 706
اخبرنا معاذ بن هشام - صاحب الدستوائي - , حدثني ابي، عن بديل بن ميسرة العقيلي، عن شهر بن حوشب، عن اسماء بنت يزيد قالت: ((كانت يد كم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى الرصغ)).
Sayyida Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The sleeves of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) were up to the wrist.

قال: وقال ابي: عن ابي صالح، عن سلمان مثله.
