Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "None of you should say: 'O Allah! Forgive me if You wish,' or 'Bestow Your Mercy on me if You wish,' or 'Provide me with means of subsistence if You wish,' but he should be firm in his request, for Allah does what He will and nobody can force Him (to do anything).

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: That he differed with Al-Hurr bin Qais bin Hisn Al-Fazari about the companion of Moses, (i.e., whether he was Kha,dir or not). Ubai bin Ka`b Al-Ansari passed by them and Ibn `Abbas called him saying, 'My friend (Hur) and I have differed about Moses' Companion whom Moses asked the way to meet. Did you hear Allah's Apostle mentioning anything about him?" Ubai said, "Yes, I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "While Moses was sitting in the company of some Israelites a man came to him and asked, 'Do you know Someone who is more learned than you (Moses)?' Moses said, 'No.' So Allah sent the Divine inspiration to Moses:-- 'Yes, Our Slave Khadir is more learned than you' Moses asked Allah how to meet him (Khadir) So Allah made the fish as a sign for him and it was said to him, 'When you lose the fish, go back (to the place where you lose it) and you will meet him.' So Moses went on looking for the sign of the fish in the sea. The boy servant of Moses (who was accompanying him) said to him, 'Do you remember (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget to tell you (about) the fish. None but Satan made me forget to tell you about it' (18.63) Moses said: 'That is what we have been seeking." Sa they went back retracing their footsteps. (18.64). So they both found Kadir (there) and then happened what Allah mentioned about them (in the Qur'an)!' (See 18.60- 82)

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "If Allah will, tomorrow we will encamp in Khaif Bani Kinana, the place where the pagans took the oath of Kufr (disbelief) against the Prophet. He meant Al-Muhassab. (See Hadith No. 659, Vol. 2)

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: The Prophet besieged the people of Ta'if, but he did not conquer it. He said, "Tomorrow, if Allah will, we will return home. On this the Muslims said, "Then we return without conquering it?" He said, 'Then carry on fighting tomorrow." The next day many of them were injured. The Prophet said, "If Allah will, we will return home tomorrow." It seemed that statement pleased them whereupon Allah's Apostle smiled.

Chapter. The Statement of Allah:“Intercession with Him profits not, except for him whom He permits. So much so that when fear is banished from their (angels) hearts, they (angels) say,’What is it that your Lord has said?’ They say, ’The truth. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.’ " (V.34:23) Allah has does not say, "What is it that your Lord created?"

Here the angels do not use the word «ماذا خلق ربكم» for Allah’s command (therefore, it is incorrect to call Allah’s speech a creation, as the Mu'tazilah say), and Allah, Glorious is His mention, has said «من ذا الذي يشفع عنده إلا بإذنه» :“Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His permission, except for whom He wills?”

Masruq bin Ajda’ al-Tabi’i narrated from Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that: When Allah, the Exalted, speaks for revelation, those in the heavens also hear something. Then, when fear is removed from their hearts and the sound becomes silent, they realize that this speech is the truth, and they call out to one another:“What did your Lord say?”They reply:“He spoke the truth.”

And it is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), from him Abdullah bin Anis (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, "Allah will gather His servants and will call them with a voice which will be heard by those far just as those near will hear it. I am the King, the One who recompenses everyone for their deeds."

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When Allah ordains something on the Heaven the angels beat with their wings in obedience to His Statement which sounds like that of a chain dragged over a rock. His Statement: "Until when the fear is banished from their hearts, the Angels say, 'What was it that your Lord said?' 'They reply, '(He has said) the Truth. And He is the Most High, The Great. " (34.23)

And Ali narrated, from them Sufyan narrated, from them Amr narrated, from them Ikrimah narrated, and from them Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this same hadith. And Sufyan bin Uyaynah narrated, from them Amr narrated, he heard from Ikrimah, and from them Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated. Ali bin Abdullah Madini said that I asked Sufyan bin Uyaynah, and he said, "I heard from Ikrimah," he said, "I heard from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him)," so Sufyan bin Uyaynah confirmed this. Ali said, I asked Sufyan bin Uyaynah that a person narrated from Umar, he from Ikrimah, and he from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), regarding the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he recited «فزع» . Sufyan bin Uyaynah said that Amr bin Dinar (may Allah be pleased with him) also recited in this way; I do not know whether he heard it from them in this way or not. Sufyan said, "This is our recitation."
