The Book of Hajj
باب من قدم ضعفة أهله بليل، فيقفون بالمزدلفة ويدعون ويقدم إذا غاب القمر:
(98) Chapter. Whosoever sent the weak amongst his family (women and children) early (from Al-Muzdalifa to Mina) at night after the moon had set. They stayed at Al-Muzdalifa and invoked Allah there and proceeded from there when the moon had set.
Hadith Number: 1679
حدثنا مسدد، عن يحيى، عن ابن جريج، قال: حدثني عبد الله مولى اسماء، عن اسماء، انها نزلت ليلة جمع عند المزدلفة , فقامت تصلي، فصلت ساعة، ثم قالت: يا بني، هل غاب القمر؟ قلت: لا، فصلت ساعة، ثم قالت: يا بني، هل غاب القمر؟ قلت: نعم، قالت: فارتحلوا، فارتحلنا ومضينا حتى رمت الجمرة، ثم رجعت فصلت الصبح في منزلها، فقلت لها: يا هنتاه، ما ارانا إلا قد غلسنا، قالت: يا بني،" إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اذن للظعن".
Narrated `Abdullah: (the slave of Asma') During the night of Jam', Asma' got down at Al-Muzdalifa and stood up for (offering) the prayer and offered the prayer for some time and then asked, "O my son! Has the moon set?" I replied in the negative and she again prayed for another period and then asked, "Has the moon set?" I replied, "Yes." So she said that we should set out (for Mina), and we departed and went on till she threw pebbles at the Jamra (Jamrat-Al-`Aqaba) and then she returned to her dwelling place and offered the morning prayer. I asked her, "O you! I think we have come (to Mina) early in the night." She replied, "O my son! Allah's Apostle gave permission to the women to do so."
