`Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: Islam began in a state of estrangement and it will become estranged again just as it began, and it will contract between the two mosques (Makkah and Madinah), just as a snake contracts into its hole (burrow).
