Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports in a marfu‘ narration that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“There are two greedy ones, the greed of neither of them ends: the one who is greedy for seeking knowledge, his greed does not end; and the one who is greedy for seeking wealth, his greed also does not end.”
