The Book of Pilgrimage
باب بيان وجوه الإحرام وانه يجوز إفراد الحج والتمتع والقران وجواز إدخال الحج على العمرة ومتى يحل القارن من نسكه:
Chapter: Clarifying the types of Ihram; and that it is permissible to perfom Hajj that is Ifrad, Tamattu and Qiran. It is permissible to join Hajj to Umrah. And when the pilgrim who is performing Qiran should exit Ihram

وحدثنا ابو كريب ، حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا هشام ، عن ابيه ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، قالت: خرجنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم موافين لهلال ذي الحجة، منا من اهل بعمرة ومنا من اهل بحجة وعمرة، ومنا من اهل بحجة، فكنت فيمن اهل بعمرة، وساق الحديث بنحو حديثهما، وقال فيه: قال عروة في ذلك: إنه قضى الله حجها وعمرتها، قال هشام: ولم يكن في ذلك هدي ولا صيام ولا صدقة.
A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: We went with the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) at the appearance of the new moon of Dhu'I-Hijja. There were amongst us those who had put on Ihram for 'Umrah, and those also who had put on Ihram both for Hajj and 'Umrah, and still those who had put on Ihram for Hajj (alone). I was one of those who had put on Ihram for 'Umrah (only). 'Urwa (one of the narrators) said: Allah enabled her (Hadrat A'isha) to complete both Hajj and 'Umrah (according to the way as mentioned above). Hisham (one of the narrators) said: She had neither the sacrificial animal nor (was she required to) fast, nor was she obliged to give alms.
