The Book of Faith
باب في قوله عليه السلام: «إن الله لا ينام». وفي قوله: «حجابه النور لو كشفه لاحرق سبحات وجهه ما انتهى إليه بصره من خلقه»:
Chapter: The saying of the Prophet (saws): "Allah does not sleep" and "His veil is light, and if he were to remove it, the splendour of his face would burn all of his creation, as far as hs sght reaches".

حدثنا، حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، اخبرنا جرير ، عن الاعمش ، بهذا الإسناد، قال: قام فينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم باربع كلمات، ثم ذكر بمثل حديث ابي معاوية، ولم يذكر: من خلقه، وقال: " حجابه النور ".
A'mash has narrated this hadith on the same authority and said: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) was standing amongst us and he told us four things. He then narrated the hadith like the one reported by Abu Mua'wiya, but did not mention the words" His creation" and said: His veil is the light.
