Chapter on One Who Does Not Reply to Salam
Hadith Number: 796
796/1038- (صحيح الإسناد موقوفا) عن عبد الله بن الصامت قال: قلت: لابي ذر: مررت بعبد الرحمن بن ام الحكم، فسلمت، فما رد علي شيئا؟ فقال:"يا ابن اخي! ما يكون عليك من ذلك؟ رد عليك من هو خير منه؛ ملك عن يمينه".
796/1038- (Authentic chain, mawquf) From Abdullah ibn al-Samit who said: I said to Abu Dharr: I passed by Abdur Rahman ibn Umm al-Hakam, and I greeted him with salam, but he did not reply anything to me. He said: "O son of my brother! What harm is there upon you from that? One who is better than him has replied to you; an angel on his right."
