It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Sulayman that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, throwing pebbles at Jamrah Aqabah from the bottom of the valley. At that time, he was saying: "O people! Do not kill one another, and when you throw at the Jamarat, use pebbles like clay fragments for it." The narrations of the noble Companions from Makkah have ended.

Rawh narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us from Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad, from Sulayman ibn Amr ibn al-Ahwas al-Azdi, from his mother, from the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم that she heard him say at Jamrat al-Aqabah: "O people! Do not kill yourselves, and throw the pebbles at the Jamrah—or the Jamarat—with pebbles like the size of date stones."
