Hazrat Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) once sought permission to meet Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her). Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) granted him permission. He asked, "Is Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) here?" She replied, "No." Upon this, he left. The second time, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was present, so he went inside. Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him the reason for seeking permission, so Hazrat Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from going to women without the husband's permission.
