مسند عبد اللہ بن العباس بن عبد المطلب رضي اللہ عنهما
Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 2156
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن جابر ، قال: سمعت الشعبي يحدث، عن ابن عمر ، وابن عباس ، قالا:" سن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الصلاة في السفر ركعتين، وهي تمام، والوتر في السفر سنة".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar and Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prescribed the method of offering two rak‘ahs during travel, therefore these two rak‘ahs are complete, not incomplete, and offering Witr during travel is also established from the Sunnah.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، لضعف جابر الجعفي.
