It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a Jew passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was sitting, and said, "O Abul Qasim! What do you say about the day when Allah will lift the sky on this finger of His," and he pointed to his index finger, "the earth on this finger, the water on this finger, the mountains on this finger, and all creatures on this finger?" And each time he kept pointing to his fingers. Upon this, the following verse was revealed: «‏‏‏‏﴿وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللّٰهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ﴾ [الأنعام: 91] » "They did not appraise Allah with true appraisal as is His due."
