Musnad of the Women
تتمة مسند عائشة رضي الله عنها
Supplement to the Musnad of ‘A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her)
Hadith Number: 24836
حدثنا سويد بن عمرو ، قال: حدثنا ابان ، عن قتادة ، عن معاذة ، عن عائشة ، قالت: " مرن ازواجكن ان يغسلوا عنهم اثر الغائط والبول، فإنا نستحي منهم، وإن نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يفعل ذلك" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that some women of Basra came to her, so she instructed them to perform istinja with water and said, "Order your husbands to do the same. We ourselves feel shy to say this, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to perform istinja with water."
